Plasma Media Center is a media center for KDE. While it is very usable for day to day media activities, it misses out few small things. One of these things is showing the current time on the home screen.

The student needs to just build Plasma Media Center from source using instructions at http://sinny.in/node/25 and then make simple additions for displaying time. The student will learn JavaScript and QML while doing this.
